Great game
Really wanted to like this, enjoyed the concept of the original Lifeline, but am more of a fan of fantasy than sci-fi. However the writing in this just kills it for me. Firstly while the original Lifeline involved you trying to help someone survive, so there was some urgency and stakes, this one involves a vague long term goal of finding the protagonist's brother with no timeline or particular stakes. At the start I was consistently offered choices between should I do something risky (steal a car, use dark magic) to go 50 miles, or should I walk and I'm thinking "You have all the time in the world, just walk." Which brings me to my second and more important point. The writing of the main character I found simply annoying. The intro to the main character is laced with self-pity and wanting validation from you, as a stranger, which didn't endear her to me at all. Then throughout interactions she mostly spoke with a passive aggressive or sarcastic tone ("Oh sure... I'd loooove to do what you're suggesting, I'll just suffer over here, I'm sorry my life isn't more wonderful") which again for me just made her very unlikeable. In fact, after playing the game for quite some time I never even encountered any fantastical elements, just a whiny girl complaining about hiking through Oregon. Was hopeful for this one but unfortunately chose to uninstall. Hopefully a sequel will improve on this, I would have loved more action/mystery and urgency as well as more immersion into a fantasy world rather than mundane decisions.
Interesting story
Great. Where is watch app?
Please allow this to show in family library for past purchases. There is no option to rebuy it so that it gets added. I only have a few games that are like this and it means they are basically invisible to me.
I love these games
Glitched, but quite good. My #1 Lifeline game slot is shared between this and Crisis Line. Repeats itself a good deal, though, which isn't that hot, but the writing and soundtrack rule. Still hoping for a sequel.
I've bought every game by this guy. If only there were more Lifelines. Especially in space. Been a while since I've played. Time to do another run-through.
Bland and Dissapointing.
I enjoyed the game overall, but there was repeating dialogue and getting the same travel options after every quest. It was creepy, and I played it twice to get a different ending, but I wish there had been just a bit more flavor added to the overall text.
